Multicultural Theory Applied to Consensual Non-Monogamy and Queer Identities

Is queer theory limited to a deconstruction of older notions of gender & identity? Or can provide a broader understanding of personality & relationships within a culture? Are an individual’s G&I always fluid and dependent upon their social position, or do individuals have a “constant” that they maintain? The issue of bisexuals: those who simply practice vs. those who “are” is a controversial one that may undermine traditional G&I understanding but does it affirm queer theory or is it an anomaly?
